When to Seek Help
After 12 months of regular unprotected intercourse without conception (6 months if the female partner is over 35), or earlier if there is a known risk factor such as previous testicular surgery, hernia repair, chemotherapy or varicocele.
The Male Fertility Work-up
A focused history, physical examination, two semen analyses spaced at least two weeks apart, hormone profile (testosterone, FSH, LH, prolactin) and — where indicated — scrotal ultrasound or genetic testing. Results are reviewed with you side-by-side.
Treatment Options
Correctable causes: hormonal therapy, varicocele repair (microsurgical varicocelectomy), infection treatment, lifestyle optimisation. Non-correctable cases: assisted reproduction (IUI, IVF, ICSI) with sperm retrieval where needed. Success rates are discussed honestly and openly.
